High Mowing Organic Seeds is an independently-owned, farm-based seed company dedicated to supporting sustainable agriculture and providing farmers and gardeners with the highest quality certified organic seed.
Trials and Selection
Our three acre Trials Garden serves as a rigorous testing ground for selecting stand-out varieties that thrive under organic conditions. Over 800 vegetable, flower and herb varieties are evaluated for yield, flavor, disease-resistance, and performance under different seasonal and climate conditions.
Organic Seed Production and Breeding
On our 40 acre farm we produce seed for varieties that would otherwise not be available organically, as well as High Mowing Organic Seeds' exclusive varieties resulting from collaborations with university programs. Our breeding program focuses on developing varieties with traits that are important to organic growers.
Quality Assurance
We are committed to providing growers with the highest quality organic seed. Our in-house lab tests every lot of seed at least twice a year to ensure it meets our high germination standards. We also evaluate purity and vigor on all seed lots and screen for seed borne diseases.
