Allium cepa
Dutch shallot, grown from seed, with incredible storage life. Very similar to the traditional French shallot with a pink hue and a teardrop shape. Ambition produces 2-3” long bulbs with a warm reddish brown skin and white flesh. Easy to grow high yields of firm, uniform bulbs with a sweet and mild onion flavor. High sugars are great for carmelized onions. Ambition has long been the standard for quality in shallots. Long day.
