Green Finger

Green Finger  Cucumis sativus
Beit alpha type, with thin skin, exceptional flavor, a small seed cavity and very slow seed formation. Beit alpha’s are similar to European slicers but shorter, averaging 8-10”. Green Finger has more durablity than most varieties of this type without compromising quality, storing just as well as American slicers without needing to be wrapped. Bred by Cornell University as field crop, and also a good choice for high tunnels and open greenhouses where insects are present for pollination. High tolerance to Angular Leaf Spot. Quality and outdoor yields blew away all other hybrids in our 2008 trials.
Days to maturity:60 days
Disease resistances:Powdery Mildew, Papaya Ring Spot, Watermelon Mosaic Virus, Zucchini Yellows Mosaic Virus
