CULTURAL INFO:
Amaranth is a tender annual that thrives in the heat of the summer. Young leaves are tender and nutritious and have a delicate flavor when used for salad greens, braising greens or a refined garnish. Harvest individual leaves when plants reach 8” tall. Pinch off terminal buds to encourage branching and leaf development. Seeds can also be harvested for use as a grain.
