Organic Medium Red Clover - A beautiful cover crop used for nitrogen fixation, hay, pasture and green manure. Clover can fix 100 lbs/acre of nitrogen; its long taproots bring up deep nutrients. Medium red clover has smaller leaves and stems than the Mammoth red clover. It regrows vigorously after mowing or grazing. Though it's a perennial, it's best treated as a biennial. Plant in spring, summer, or fall and let overwinter. Incorporate after its second full growth season. Seeding rate: 20 lbs/acre, 1/2 lb/1,000 sq ft. (Trifolium pratense)
