Winter Rye/Hairy Vetch Mix Cover Crop  Organic Rye/ Hairy Vetch Mix - 75% rye / 25% vetch by weight. Combination of grass/legume cover crop for fall planting. The vetch fixes nitrogen while the rye adds organic matter and acts as a nurse crop for the vetch, providing it with support and protecting the less hardy vetch from winter damage. Regrows vigorously in the spring. Plant in the fall, and mow and turn in after the vetch flowers in the spring. Seeding rate: 90 lbs /acre, 3-4 lbs/1,000 sq ft()
