C. pepo - Resistant Early Bush Acorn (REBA). Another great release from our partnership with Cornell University. Sweet REBA continues putting energy into developing fruit long after most squash varieties have succumbed to powdery mildew. This means that the critical stage of sugar production is not debilitated by the disease late in the season. Plants have compact bush habit and produce very high net yields of marketable fruit. Fruits average 4-5 per plant and are 1.5 - 2 lbs, uniform, and nicely rounded. Out-performed Table Ace F1 in bush habit, disease resistance, yield, flavor and uniformity of shape and ripeness in our 2008 trials. A reminder that with work, some OPs can be better than market leading hybrids! Great storage variety.
