Organic Ailsa Craig - HEIRLOOM Large sweet onions with juicy white flesh are known for their record-breaking size. Although we can’t personally boast of any prizewinning specimens, this variety can grow up to 5 lbs. White bulbs are somewhat pear-shaped (heavy bottomed and slightly elongated) with a thick neck. Leaves held up to disease as well as some of our leading hybrids in our 2011 trials. Will keep in storage for about a month. Long day. (Allium cepa)
