Garden Sorrel  Organic Sorrel - Sorrel is best known for its tangy leafy greens, which are commonly used in soups and stews, in salad, or as a braising green. This cold tolerant leafy green is becoming increasingly popular as an over-wintered gourmet spring green. Leaves are bright green and slender with long petioles. Full-size leaves grow to 8” long. Plants can be harvested all season long but are best sown in late summer for harvest in early spring when most tender and mild. Grow as a baby leaf or for full size leaves. Direct sow as soon as soil can be worked or start transplants in March. Sow seeds ¼” deep, plant spacing is 8” in 12- 18” rows. Plant after danger of frost has passed. Deadhead seed stalks to encourage more leaves. Perennial. 34M seeds/oz (Rumex acetosa )
