Pension Bean

Organic Pension Bean - Romano bush bean with wonderful flavor and tenderness. Pension was a favorite in our taste tests, beating other market standards like Early Bountiful and Roma II. Medium, flat green pods average 6" long. Plants are a bit floppy (typical of Italian types), but hold themselves up. Can also be eaten as a shell bean when pods are full and tender. Good heat tolerance and virus resistance. White seeds. (Phaseolus vulgaris)
