Not a true sunflower. The unique and intensely vibrant orange flowers are sure to attract the attention of friends and monarchs alike. Produces many brilliant flowers upon 5-6’ bushy upright plants with velvety stalks. A vigorous annual that prefers hot and dry conditions. Long stalks will bloom mid-summer through frost. Direct seed 1/8” deep, thin to a final spacing of 3-4’. Can be started as transplants 6-8 weeks before planting date.
