Visiting Our Farm
During the growing season (roughly mid-May through mid-October here in northern Vermont) we welcome visitors to stop by our Trials & Showcase garden for a self-guided tour. Our side-by-side plantings of over 800 varieties of vegetable, herbs and flowers are clearly labeled for easy identification and comparison.
To inquire about arranging group tours of our Trials & Showcase Garden or of our seed production fields and seed cleaning facilities, contact Gwenael at (802) 472-6174 x 104 or gwenael@highmowingseeds.com or read on for other opportunities to visit our farm.
Kingdom Farm and Food Days
Hosted by High Mowing Organic Seeds in collaboration with The Center for an Agricultural Economy and the New England Culinary Institute of Montpelier. Visit the two acre Trial & Showcase Garden, featuring labeled displays of over 800 vegetable, herb and flower varieties – an excellent opportunity to see a wide range of side-by-side comparisons of many popular and some yet-unreleased varieties! Festivities will include workshops, an array of locally produced food presented by the New England Culinary Institute, and an evening bonfire. This is a FREE fun-filled event. Recent years’ have also included tours of area farms and food businesses, demonstrations, live music and such exciting crowd-pleasers as the NOFA-VT wood-fired pizza oven and Vermont Soy's smoothie-cycle.
Check back later for the dates for the next Kingdom Farm and Food Days. Please visit the official Kingdom Farm and Food Days website for more information. You can also sign-up for our monthly e-newsletter to be alerted to future High Mowing events. We do not share our email list with anyone.
Winter Gathering
Each year, High Mowing Organic Seeds hosts an annual educational and social gathering at our warehouse, typically during the month of January or February. The educational topic varies from year to year, but the goal remains the same: to connect with growers during the downtime of winter, share good food and learn from our customers about how to best meet their seed needs. We hope you'll join us!
To find out the date of our next Winter Social, check back on our website, sign-up for our monthly e-newsletter and be alerted to future High Mowing events. We do not share our email list with anyone.
