What's the easiest way to place an order?

You can try out our new Web Order Form, or save our fillable pdf Custom Order Form to your computer, fill it in, and then email, fax, or call, whichever is easiest for you. 

How do i become a wholesale customer?

You can complete our Initial Order Form and either email or mail it in.

Is there an order minimum?

There is no minimum for ordering although shipping charges may apply (see full details below). You also must order items in multiples of 5 (ex. 5, 10, 15, ).

How fast will my seeds ship?

Your seeds will ship within 1-3 business days of your order being processed. If we have an email on file for your account, you will be emailed a shipment confirmation with tracking information.

Can I customize my order?

Yes! Using our new Web Order Form or our downloadable Custom Order Form you can choose whichever varieties you like, in whichever quantity you would like as long as they are in multiples of 5 (ex. 5, 10, 15, ).

What's my log in information?

You no longer have to remember log in information! You can access all of the forms you need at any time by clicking here.

How much do your seed packets cost?

You can find all our cost and pricing information in our 2024 Order Guide for Resellers. We offer two cost tiers, and our current Suggested Retail Price for all garden seed packets is $3.75.

Do you ship to internationally?

We ship within the US and Canada.

How much does shipping cost? 

Orders shipping within the contiguous US ship free over $200.  A full breakdown of our shipping fees is as follows:

What about shipping to Canada?

We ship all Canadian orders via Fedex International Economy.  We charge 5% GST and a $28.00 Fedex brokerage fee on all orders to help speed them through customs.  These charges are in addition to the shipping fees listed above in the Shipping Costs table.  We include a customs declaration document with all shipments.

How do I pay for my order?

You can call us with credit card information Monday through Friday 9am until 5pm ET (866) 735 4454, option 4. You can also apply for credit terms with us. In order to request a Credit Application, please email seedracks@highmowingseeds.com. You can also mail us a check to the below address:

When is the best time to order/start selling seeds?

Our new season opens the first Monday in November, and ordering early is a good way to take advantage of our widest selection.  The longer your display is on the sales floor, the more opportunities your customers have to purchase, so earlier is better but we do recommend having your seeds out for sale by late February.  We also offer gift box collections, sprouts, and microgreens that work well as gifts, and having those out ahead of holiday shopping is a great idea.

Why are some items backordered or out of stock?

We get a lot of questions about backorders, and we'd like to take a moment to explain our management process here at High Mowing. The reality is that backorders are a normal part of the seed industry, and there are many reasons that different varieties are in backordered or out of stock status.

Back Ordered: Back Orders exist because sometimes a variety isn’t available to us from the grower until later in the season, or sometimes we sell through what we have ahead of schedule and need to source more. A Back Order status indicates that we are expecting to receive the seed and should be able to pack it and ship it to you by the back-order date.

  • We try to calculate these dates conservatively so that we can deliver to you on time, but occasionally factors beyond our control necessitate a change in the backorder date. 
  • All of the seed that we sell is run through our quality control processes, and any seed that does not meet our standards may go from being backordered to out-of-stock.

Out of Stock: In general, once something is marked out of stock, it is not likely to come back for the season. This can happen when there is a crop failure or widespread unavailability.

Organic seed is often more difficult to produce than conventional seed, which can make sourcing challenging.

How do I place a reorder?

Reorders can be placed whenever you’re ready, and you can submit them the same way initial orders are submitted- via our Custom Order form, our Web Order Form, or by email, fax, phone call, or mail.

How do I make a return through your Guaranteed Sales Program?

Our Returns season begins in mid-July and closes on October 15 each year.  Participants in our Guaranteed Sales Program, who placed their initial order on or before April 1, may return up to 50% of total garden seed purchases for 90% credit towards future purchases.  Note that Sprouts, Microgreens, and Gift Boxes are not included in the returns program.  Each mid-July, participants in our Guaranteed Sales Program will receive an email with instructions for how to successfully return their unsold seeds.

Are there wholesale purchasing options on any of the retail varieties not listed in your seed rack collections?

In general we are not able to offer retail-only varieties through our wholesale program.
