My mom and I always start tomatoes and peppers in these early days of spring. The heat mat would be absolutely great for the peppers as we always seem to have trouble with those.

I would love to start some kale, collards, watermelon, pumpkin, zucchini, crookneck squash, jalapeno peppers, and more plum tomatoes, since I think I burned mine in the 2 hours of direct sun I gave them over the weekend on a warm day. The heating mat would be especially helpful for some of these!

I start lettuces, spinach, squashes, tomatoes, kale, swiss chard, and flowers. Michigan is a rather short season but with starting seeds in my living room and moving them to a cold frame I built last spring things will get moving along real soon. A heated mat would be great. Thanks for the chance!

I always have to regrow certain herbs every spring, basil, tarragon, cilantro and sometimes sage. This would be a great kit to start that indoors earlier, instead of in the ground.

I'm starting a Giving Garden at the church, not sure what I'm planting yet; likely tomatoes will be part of it. In my personal garden, I will be attempting root vegetables this year, carrots, beets, etc. in addition to the usual greens. But no tomatoes here--too much heartbreak!

Alliums, sweet and hot peppers, tomatoes, cabbages! I got my alliums (onions, leeks, shallots, and scallions) started on time this year for the first time! The garlic I planted in the fall started to come up before these last two snowstorms.

Here in northern Montana, some extra heat would really help with starting the squashes and my ambition this year: watermelons! If a farmer on the Alberta plains can do it, I figure it can happen here too!

This seed starting kit would be given to my Mother as a gift to assist her in starting her garden early this year. She has been developing a green thumb for the past couple of years and always expresses that she would like to start her own seeds rather than purchasing transplants. Living in Upstate New York there is always risk for an unexpected late winter storm that could wipe out anything planted in the ground. I know that she would put the kit to good use and make the most out of the opportunity to get a head start on her garden. She is a steward of the land in any way she can contribute.

i am trying three sisters this season, and plan to plant green beans, running peas, 2 tomato plants a pepper, and watermelons, we are downsizing this summer, i finally got my husband to see that a smaller garden can give us plenty without waste and last season he finally saw how true this is.. i look forward to less work, it was getting to the point where it was way to much work, made it less enjoyable for me.

I've already started everything but I'd use it for transplants p[ricked out from the styrofoam mushroom containers I seed in. Mainly tomatoes and peppers, some flowers; celery and brassicas gotta get pricked out now, leeks already are...

Just amazing how winter hardy spinach can be! I planted a bed in the outside garden in October and covered it with a medium grade fleece over hoops. After a brutally cold Winter with several days of below zero temps, the spinach made it through in full form and is now taking off!

We love High Mowing! Currently on our germination heat mat are Indigo Apple, Arbason and Indigo Rose tomatoes. Under our grow lights we have Cortland and Cabernet onions as well as Ping Tung eggplant and purple peppers. The organic certified non-gmo seeds help set us apart at our farmers market!

Have purchased seed from HM for several years now. Have been very satisfied. Starting kit would be great foe all my plants .Here in At I start early already have plants in ground . Keep planting all summer . This would be great for fall gardening

Early start dill to get flowers that attrack swarms of beneficial tiny wasps. Also, early start of celery, cukes and summer squash.
