You may have noticed the Loy’s Choice™ notation on some of your favorite cucurbit varieties. This trademark honors the incredible work of the late Dr. Brent Loy of the University of New Hampshire’s Cucurbit Breeding Program. Dr. Loy contributed to the development of hundreds of new varieties of squash, pumpkins, gourds, and melons during his career. These cultivars are known for their exceptional eating quality, yield, and disease resistance. Dr. Loy’s nutrient-rich crops, seeds, and germplasm research have influenced the harvests of countless farmers and gardeners across North America, and we are honored to carry his legacy forward with this high-quality assortment.
