Highly uniform in both plant habit and maturity, upright full stems are gorgeous with exceptional flavor.

The crunchy stems of the puntarelle appear as sprouts with dandelion shaped leaves and are pleasantly bitter and tender, perfect for fresh eating. When preparing, they can be allowed to rest in ice water for an hour to temper bitterness. Transplant seedlings 28 to 30 days after seeding. From Smarties.bio.
